Miniature Turnings #1

I came across Jim McPhail's web site small world-1 and became enamored with his miniature bowls and hollow forms. This is the first in my numbered series of miniature turnings. It's 2 3/4" tall and was made with segmented cedar and birch plywood and finished with BLO and CA.

Very nice. My small turnings look boring compared to yours and what I looked at on the website you linked.

When I have small pieces I often make tea light candle holders.

Steve...AWESOME 'little' ;>) turning!!! I too, enjoy turning these little miniatures, but have never tried multi-layed turnings or segmented turnings... Now you've got my attention and I'll have to try it! Thanks for sharing your turning with us and also the web site, which looks VERY interesting! Safe turning to you always!
