Mini saws?

Awhile back saw post talking about the mini Harbor Freight saw and there was another saw mention of better quality. I can't remember the name of it.

Does anyone if either one will cut 5/16 solid aluminum round bar?

Yes, indeed. . The Byrnes saw will do that, John. . I routinely use one to cut 3/8" and 1/2" aluminum round stock. . Fairly Slowly. . No problem.
