I'm trying to find a mini table saw. I aldready did a search on here and didn't see any threads mentioning it. (then again, i do have a short attention span). Anyway, I am looking for something that will cut through the average 1" square blank. Any ideas? I bought the one from Harbor Freight on saturday when they opened, and returned it before noon. POS, if I may say so. I'm just tired of using my 14" bandsaw to cut the blanks.

That isn't the Dremel table saw, it is a different branded HF Chinese 4" table saw.

I have a real Dremel Table saw. They haven't been made many in years, It is a light duty belt driven one. Not good for much over 1/2 stock and slow if it is hard wood. Even oak was a slow go with a new blade.

Dremel hasn't made either the table saw, or the mini lathe in a long time. Also have the old style vibrator type scroll/jig saw. They no longer sell blades for it. I have had them since the 70's was great for what they are basswood/balsa wood and thin stock.
Their last scroll saw is a rebranded one.

Byrned, Proxxon, and the one from Micro Mark are nice. Thw 4" PSI saw is the same as the Harbor Freight one...a piece of junk.

I purchase one on Ebay search using "Chop SAW" I pd $64.00 has a 6 1/4" dia wheel with locking attachment. Came from a guy in Ohio but don't remember his name. I'ts blue & yellow.:smile:in color.

Silly me, I just looked at the first result on a search for "Dremel Table Saw".

I had the scroll saw too. It was really more of a noise maker than a saw.
 
a lot of those brands are out of my price range. i'd rather stick with the bandsaw cutting than spending $300+ on a mini table top saw.
