I'll violate a custom and post this before it get's mailed!!!

Since Edgar (edohmann) seems to crave Sassafras so much, I ordered some off of Ebay and will be sending him this.

Body: Sassafras; Cap and finial She-Oak (Robutacion).

I will be showing this tomorrow at the Ohio Chapter meeting as an example of how the pieces and parts go together (for me! There are many ways to do these).

As with large pen orders, when you're done you kind of ready for something else... I'm pretty ready to get back to making lousy pens!!! :wink:

Absolutely! I'll send you the hand-out that I made for a demo tomorrow. I recommend two books - Dale Nish and Dick Sing - ava from Woodcraft, CSUSA, etc...

I'll try to post pictures here, but I do only one thing differently that the above mentioned "Masters," I use face plate mandrels. I've used the individual mandrels, but after time they get a sloppy fit (this will be more understood after to see the pictures).
