Military logo question

Hi all.

I've been talking a bit with Jeff on this and he said he wouldn't mind if I posted here for clarification.

I turned what is being sold as the Armed Forces Army blank from Jeff. As I went to post the pen below to my site I realized that this didn't appear to be an Army logo. It appears to me to be the old air force logo. The best I can find online is a reference to a US Army Air Force patch while everything else points to classic Air Force.

Can someone say 100% what branch this logo belongs to and what years it was in use?

100% no but I believe that is the U.S Army Air Force logo used from 1941-1947.

Thank you, I think that is exactly what I needed was the Wiki that backs it up.

So it's Air Force before they became their own dedicated branch. So technically Army is correct if I label it properly.
