We are getting closer – we only have about 50 days to the Largest and Longest running pen making gathering – the Midwest Penturners Gathering. And we have some exciting news.

You want to be a demonstrator? Want to earn the "big bucks"?

Here is your chance. On Friday night after the pizza dinner, we are going to open a demo room to you. Bring your best tip, trick or technique and be eligible for a the randomly draw prizes for you participation. The only rule is that the demo must last at least two minutes. That's right, for two minutes of your time – you can win some great prizes. Bring your demo and we will be waiting. (Each demonstrator will get a lottery ticket for the demonstrator drawing. We will draw after everyone has had a chance to participate).

We got another room and we plan to use it.

We secured the Chicago room and we are planning some great activities in that room. A few meet and greets. Some hands-on. Details will be forth coming. You won't want to miss this room.

Contests?

Check out the contest page at MidwestPenTurnersGathering.com. We listened to your feedback and this year we changed up the categories. A rookie (< 1 year), 1 – 5 year veteran, and seasoned pro (> than 5 years). Who does not want to go home with a plaque for your talents. Check out the contest page.

Don't Forget the Blank Lottery.

You will Receive ONE Ticket for every blank you bring to the MPG and donate to the LOTTERY. It's that simple, just sort through that Personal Stash of Treasured Blanks (we all have one) and pick out something that you would love to win, and bring it to the check in desk at the MPG 2023.

If you have not registered yet – what are you waiting for….
Did you forget that for each month in advance that you register you get an extra ticket for the big prize / lathe raffle. You know you are planning on coming. Sign up before the rate goes up and all the great key dates pass (shorts / mugs / pizza dinner).

If you came to the event in the past – you know you want to come again. If you joined us on the virtual event – you know you want to come out and get the same great content with the ability to meet and socialize with hundreds of other pen makers. And if you came in the past, you know some of the other great benefits – contests / door prizes / ability to talk in-person with world class sponsors and vendors (the same ones you see on-line – but now in person) / great demonstrations by well-known demonstrators (fellow AAW members and AAW demonstrators). We cannot wait to get back together again and experience the team we all make.

And you cannot beat the price $49 ($59 After March 1) for two full days – best value in symposiums out there.

This is going to be fun. See you April 21 and 22 in Hoffman Estates…..

Too bad you won't have any online parts!
That's a separate symposium like the one held last November. This is the annual "Live" symposium where we can all get together, share ideas and socialize. Plus it allows our vendors to show off their products and recover their investment in supporting the event, which helps make the symposium possible. Besides, There's plenty online like You Tube for those that want to watch demos from home. This is the largest and longest running Pen Making symposium out there which probably wouldn't be as big if people could stay home as see it. I think being live is what makes it so much fun.
