Mexican Fan Palm Root pen!!

Today I made a Mexican Fan Palm Root pen, I got the blank from Joe (Shadetree 1), it's a very unique pen blank that has lots of character to
it! It's a perfect blank for someone that wants to make a very different pen! :biggrin:

The pen is a slim line and has satin gold hardware with 16 coats of CA glue.

MAN, that's some good looking timber. And you are FAR more patient than I am on a standard finish.

Get a better camera, I want to see your work up close. I'd say your finishing technique was very good. Brought out the color and has a nice shiny finish.
Say, That antler which is holding the pen, looks like a candidate for one real nice Cigar pen.

Some beautiful wood there. Works very well with the gold hardware.

16 coats CA???! - Ditto Dr S's comment - man, you must be incrediby patient. I've never had the patience to go past 10 coats, and usually never past 6 or 7.

But, hard to argue with a gorgeous product like that. Very nicely done!
