Metric Tap & Dies

In another thread there was mention about metric dies & taps. b/c they were fine threads.

Is there any reason not to consider NF for die & taps for the pens The only reason is I have NF.

There are no thread police. Different thread pitches appeal to different people for different reasons. Some like fine, others coarse, some prefer multistart, some prefer single start. Some find it easier to work in metric, others are more comfortable with imperial sizes. A few like square threads. The choice should be made by what you like and what fits the design element of the pen, not by public opinion. One experiment is worth a thousand opinions.

The only time if would matter would be when you are making threads to mate up with an existing part. Otherwise, use whatever you feel is appropriate.
