Mesquite Sedona

Picked up a few interesting pieces from Gary Max recently
Never turned Mesquite. Hard to see in the pictures but this wood has a catoyance not unlike Koa.

The brown shimmers to gold as I move it back and forth in the light. Very interesting

The piece had some 2 tone in it as well as some deep spalting.

Here is a close up. Still doesn't do the shimmer justice

Looks great. I just turned a mesquite blank i got from turn tex into a chrome sedona and is very similar to yours. Really like that wood.
