Just wanted to check in and get some of your opinions. I have not been turning too long, but am just starting to get into some of the CA finishing. I have seen Mercury CA advertised. Is this the same as regular CA? If they are different, is there a general preference for one of the other?

Any comments appreciated.

Mercury flex thin is the answer. Five or six coats and done. Wonderful stuff. Oh, and it's meant to be used with the Mercury accelerator (I suggest the aerosol).

After trying, and failing, with all the other brands, Mercury Flex works!
I am not good at CA finishes, just haven't done it enough to get the technique down. But since trying the Mercury Flex, no problems. I highly recommend it.

Mercury has three primary lines of CA. Their regular CA and Odorless have been around for many years, but their Flex CA is relatively new. I introduced it in the spring of 2016 and many have discovered that it's unlike what they had been previously using.
