A friend of mine passed away that was a school teacher. The school wanted to start a memorial garden in her memory and her husband asked me to build an arbor for them. We got the local 84 Lumber to donate the treated lumber and the project was on. Her fellow teachers wanted to call the garden A "Young" Place in memory of Glenna Young. As an added touch I printed a banner with that saying on it and transferred it to the cross piece of the arbor. I hand carved the letters in the brace with my Bosch Colt router and a flat bottomed .25" straight bit. Yes, it was time consuming but I am very happy with the way it turned out. Since the install there have been lots of flowers and a fountain also put in around the garden.
