Greetings!

My 14-year-old son got a Rikon lathe for Christmas, as well as a pen starter kit from Rockler and some slimline pen kits and some blanks. He and I have been watching videos and posting a little on here, making some mistakes and some wood shavings and a few things resembling pens.

Thanks to advice received here, I ordered a setup for the lathe so that we can drill with it instead of the old wobbly drill press. And we've stopped using bad glue (apparently for plastics only). And we have many more mistakes still to make, but we're having fun!
