I was able to purchase this piece for a really good price.(24x3x10) the bowl is 9in in diameter and about 3 in high. finished with tung oil. I need to do a little more sanding on the inside and a few more coats of finish. then, there is all that extra for pens. I love this wood

I like the bowl as well, but I am distracted some that you do not have a consistant wall thickness. If the burl is dry you will be okay, but if you turn green wood like that it will surely crack. I like the internal profile best.
