Finishing this blank up for my dad's birthday gift. I am not a fan of epoxy resin, such a mess to deal with. This is one of my first "ambitious" segmenting projects. I had a scaled blank that came apart before this, which is why I switched from CA glue to epoxy.

Squares are 3/4" and 0.1" thick. Brass between each layer is 0.016".

The key is patience, small bites, small amounts of progress at a time, sharp tool. I have a hone next to my lathe and hone once every minute or so to keep it sharp. Don't get in a hurry. The object is a pen, not speed or certain amount of time. With that much brass, even as thin as it is, heat will build up quickly and separate the epoxy too. Remember, the object is a pen whether it takes an hour to 3 hours or more to turn. Don't let "time" push you into building up heat. You will be happy when you complete the pen!

That is going to be a NICE pen!
