I was fortunate to attend the MAPG this year as a visitor. As many have already stated, it was an excellent program, with outstanding demonstrators and vendors.
I did enter the Modified Pen contest and was pleasantly surprised to be the first place winner. The pen was segmented with alternate casein, cebloplast, and aluminum. (pictures are on the MAPG site)
The prize given was an Orbita, Lighthouse Series, LED flashlight which I received on Wednesday. WOW, what a gift!! It came with faux ivory and zebrawood bodies. Contacted Orbita today and expressed my appreciation for their support of the MAPG and a very special prize given.

Congratulations Bill!
That was a nice looking pen! I do wish I knew more about it and could get a closer look. Can you post a pic and tell us the rest of the story.

My entry was an also-ran, and given that I have a pretty high opinion of my own work :biggrin:, that should tell you how much I like of the winners, lol!
