What, isn't that normal? Looks neat to me.
After messing up by original pen, I was able to get a second one done. Might not be a winner, but I bet it generates some conversation. I am looking forward to meeting folks from this forum.
Early birds
Roy, I'm really pleased you met up with Lou. I miss him around here.
Was it the same Woodcraft that Lou took Eagle and me to?
I wish I could have been there at the get together.
One day...:wink:
Snakeskins, feather blanks, gator jawbones, stamps, watch parts, jigs, molds, tools, etc. I will be heading back to the MAPG shortly and have to be strong. My wife issued a new edict effective May 1, I am supposed to start keeping track of my spending on pen stuff. Told her I would only be going for the demos. Already spent some money last night, what should I do:
-man up and say I earned it I can spent it;
-buy her roses and tell her how great she is;
-go back and buy a flowery polymer clay blank and make or a pen; or,
- claim insanity?
3 nights in hotels (some of them questionable) - $250
Gas and food for 4 days - $300
34 hours in the car with two teenagers to go to the MAPG and meet all the people and see the fantastic presentations - Priceless!!!
Elizabeth, Duncan and I had a great time getting to meet everyone and be entertained and educated during the 2 days of the gathering. Each presenter taught each of us something that we will use going forward, and it was worth the trip. Thank you to the organizers and for the Glen Allen Woodcraft for hosting us during the weekend. We walked away with our door prizes and a good chunk of loot from PTownSubbie (and if I brought more money, 2 of the 6 tube molds was going home with me...)
Guess I better start saving up for another trip back for the 2016 gathering...
