I built this little case for my wife for Christmas because she has pens scattered all over the house. The frame itself is knotty Pine, the top insert panel is Blood wood. Walnut segmented banding around sides, with walnut lid banding and spacers for trays. Inlace design on top of box is Baltic Birch, as are the dividers and bottom. Trays are routed hard board that I flocked in burgandy fiber. Old fashioned hardware for latch. Hand rubbed Hydro-coat finish. Can be used as jewelry, keepsake, storage, or display box, and will hold 32 pens. Photos show some of the configurations that are possible. Jim S

Some people are asking what size space is needed to set up a display with this case. You could display all four pen trays (32 pens) plus the case set up as a jewelry box in less than an 8 inch by 36 inch space, which would allow you plenty of room on your table for other items you wanted to display for sale. You could also make the case twice as wide and be able to display 72 pens, and still carry the case with ease under one arm for transport. Jim S
