Manu Propria - Urushi Jewelry

I am experimenting around with a jewelry collection inspired by "sutra containers". There are hollow ebonite bars with thread inside, lacquered in various urushi techniques. The ends are gold plated brass covers with threads that can be screwed onto the pieces. These elements can be converted to all kind of jewelry, as ear hangers or necklace.

This set of ear hangers is the first I finished today. Ebonize body with a "tametame-Raden" urushi finish. The diameter 19 mm, length 30 mm, weight is 8 gr. Let's see how it turns out

Beautiful job and finish. But they look a bit big and heavy for ears, do you have any pics with them on an ear?
