Hi there,
Just finished a set of urushi pens with "Namban-Kawari-Nuri". Namban refers to the term used for Japanese things influenced by "Southern barbarians", meaning the Portugueese reaching Japan in the 15th century, coming from the South. It is a lacquer I developed myself a few years ago. The design bases on many circles sprinkled with metal powders such as Platinum, Gold, Silver, Tin, Bronze, Brass, Titanium, Tungsteen and abalone

Best regards,

Martin

I do not know how you manage to keep producing something better today, than yesterday...but you do! Stunning work which I much admire. You really seem to "Own" this niche, and rightfully so. Great work!

Works of art, every one of them. There is only a hand full of people here on IAP that I would call artists and you are most certainly one of them. Beautiful work!!!
