Got this one finished today, has been a good day.
This piece of stump came from a root ball which weighed about 5 ton.
It was sanded to 400 grit and sprayed with Satin Lacquer.

It measures 8 x 2.25".

Hope you like it and C&C welcome.

Beautiful work! Mango is a beautiful wood. I first used mango for woodworking when i was stationed in Hawaii in the late 90's. Back home in Puerto Rico it was/is considered "Trash-Wood", it grows anywhere especially along the edges of roads and streams and the trees are "ginormous". When I was a kid it was one of the first trees to get cut in a plot of land being cleared for farming. The whole tree was cut, up put in a large pile and burnt...I cannot imagine how much beautiful wood was wasted.

Oh, how I wish I had the 5 ton root ball.
My piece was only 8.5" square and 2.75" thick.:mad::mad:.
The guy spent days/weeks slabbing that root ball/stump and the thickest pieces he sold were 2.75"

Bob.
