I wrapped up this Retro a few days ago just in time for a two day show this weekend. It is domestic Bog Oak from Iowa segmented with blue dyed and stabilized Mammoth Tusk said to have come from Russia. The mammoth tusk turns much nicer than mammoth tooth. I would compare it to a hard antler. Much nicer than the stone like qualities of mammoth tooth. After looking at this picture a little closer it almost looks like I may have tweaked the clip a little unless it is a bit of an illusion.

Very Cool. Both pen and the story behind it. - Dave
PS I've found that parallax distortion can do funny things when taking pictures of pens. Things can look uneven, crooked, etc. even though they really are not.
