I would appreciate any information regarding pens made from Malachite and/or Lapis Lazuli. How difficult is the material to work with? And, where can I find sources for pen blanks?

Try the TruStone blanks that Craft Supplies USA sells. They turn much like other synthetic blanks, and look a LOT like the stones from which they are made.
