Making progress with rollerball kitless using an M13/10 x 1 combination - see attached. It is an Alumilite cap and barrel, and Acrylic section (all from William Wood-Write). I like slim pens, and have made some M10/7 x 1 with Cross style refill. I might try an M12/9 combination for rollerball. If I do what is usual for thread spacing?

Having taken rixstix advice regarding 3/8" UNEF tap and die, I made a pen with M12 x 1 - 3/8" UNEF combo using Canary wood as the outer material, and Parker style refill. Of course, adding the wooden "jacket" increases the outer dimensions. Not sure that I like it that way since I like "slimmer" pens, and may try a M11 x 1/M8 x 0.75 with a wooden "jacket" next. It won't be Canary wood since I am now out of that. I might try Madrone (aka Arbutus in Canada) of which I have a good supply being local to the coast here in BC.
