Luckily we sold one of these recently so a new one was needed. Very tough blank from CSUSA, not their fault just a fact.

I like the figure a lot; now to find a buyer who agrees.

Beautiful! I have only ever turned a couple of things out of anything spalted, and had mixed experiences. The spalted tamarind I used for a salt grinder turned and finished no problem. Beautiful wood. I had a piece of spalted zebrawood that was so punky and soft that it would just instantly clog any sandpaper I tried to use. It was like trying to sand a crayon. I gave up on it. Glad you had success with this one!

I used thin CA before drilling and several more times during turning. Voids were an issue, but so far - worth it. Thanks
