This is a PSI Magnetic Vertex fountain pen in gunmetal. The blank is a Rhino called Earth's Core, and I think it is aptly named. There is a lot going on in this blank. Very happy with this one.

This is the third Earth's Core blank I've turned, and I wasn't too sure about this one. But you can never really tell until it's turned and finished. All three have looked different. But this one has a lot of figure and contrasting colors.

Very nicely done. I have had some of those blanks and the variation from one to another can be very dramatic.
Lucky about that ink cartridge being in its own bag.

I had made a small order from Exotic Blanks and the mail carrier jammed the small flat rate box up against the lock on our mail box so I could not turn the key. I left the carrier a note and also went to our Post Office Branch to let them know and inform the carrier. So effectively my order was in the metal box outside in 104 temps for two days. Who knows what it was inside the box. When i got it home and opened it I was expecting my pen refills to have leaked or exploded. I was lucky and they were fine. Everything was warm to the touch- pen kits and a couple of blanks.

The big downer was the small bag of M&M's Ed sends along as a gift had melted.
