Has anyone been using the Mag Fit dust collector system? If so any likes or dislikes? I am thinking of converting a few tools in the shop with this system. I Interchange my 4" dust hose from tablesaw to bandsaw and disk sander at times. Right now I have a slide on system where the hose slides onto a sleeve mounted on tool. Over time this has gotten bent from dropping on the floor and bending out of shape so I lose air suction. Looks reasonable price wise. I see Woodcraft have them as well as Grizzly. I buy from both places. need to check pricing. Thanks.

Last winter I did some major reorganizing in the shop and this year before I start working on projects I still have a few items to tackle. This being one. I can not wait to start working on a bunch of projects. Been quite some time since I made anything. have lots of ideas.

I currently use the Rockler slip fit system. Have used for 10+ years. Everything still fits well and works as designed. I'm kind of locked in at this point with this system. Like battery platforms for power tools. Once you buy into one it gets expensive to switch.
I've looked at Izzy Swan's Quicklox which uses a twist locking system. Izzy no longer makes them and Magswitch took them on for their tool line. Problem with that is everything Magswitch puts their name on is very expensive.
I would be interested in knowing how much pull it takes to disconnect the Magfit system from one another because if you're dragging a 15' - 20' length of 4" dust hose from one to another tool to save having to route piping around the shop (I do the drag the hose thing myself) and the weight of the hose, which at full length can be quite heavy, pulls the magnets apart then that system isn't going to help very much. Whereas the click lock method is a positive lock and will not come undone with pull strength.
Price difference is the Magfitt basic (tool and hose connector) is about $25 the Quickloxx system for the equivalent package is $66 (Magswitch tax).
Taytools has a Snapmag dust collection system where you get 1 hose adapter, 2 tool adapters, 2 rubber unions and hose clamps for $45.
