Made this drawbar on the big lathe for the lil lathe

Bought an er32 collet chuck and needed a drawbar. Made this out of some 1/2" all thread for the bar and a chunk of 1.25" round bar for the knurled nut.

It's not pretty but it works

Looks good. I'd just trim the threads flush with your knurled nut though.

I like it. I also agree with Skiprat. I wouldn't do it for looks I'd trim it because why have something sticking out that might grab clothing.

I've left them because I've been contemplating other things I could add, like a dividing plate, for instance.

Find a vinyl cap to put on it. Maybe a door stop replacement cap.
