Hi Leonardo and thanks for the reply and jumping with some information. After spending the evening researching anything on such a machine called the Pen Whiz, I also believe as you stated that people may be referring to the extict Milllathe and Lathe Wizard of the past days. Both had potential and capabilities, but also believe this is why JR Beall spend a lot of time and designed an entirely new machine he called the "Pen Wizard". I liked the Milllathe in the fact it was a nice "Beefy" strong machine, but the belts that constantly slipped was it's down fall. Of course it was also really expensive and that didn't help either. Beall designed the replaceable gears for the Pen Wizard and that was HUGE difference in giving the machine unlimited capabilities. To bad he didn't add more strength to the frame. To much flimsy plastic used in construction where that could easily have been made of Aluminum plate as the Milllathe was. Oh well, it's now history, but doesn't mean someone (like me) cannot beef up the frame to give it more rigidity. I'm also looking into attempting to adapt it to cut tapers and use follower templates. I need to see the kit used to do this that came with the Milllathe but so far I've found nothing. A good picture would get me started but kits like this are now as rare as Hen's teeth. By chance, do you in fact possibly own a Milllathe???
