These were made using the generic craft knives from Amazon for <$1 each.
m14x.8x3 cap
M10x.75 section
1/2" section diameter
acrylic

made for my engineers who move from the lab to the office.

those look really neat. what I will say is usually for my craft knives I like a little grip and I know that epoxy looks butter smooth. but they do look very pretty i love the caps as well.

Hi @Odinswoodshop thank you for the kind words.

I hear your concern. There is good news though. Even on the large monitor the contour of the section is not obvious. However, the section is contoured and there is a finger stop feature. This is batch number 5 for the new hires. The rest of the team got theirs prior to Christmas and have been using them with no issue.

These are beautiful! Did you epoxy the standard knife handles into the custom handles or leave them solid and thread the tubes for "head" piece of the knife? Loosen the section to change the blade?

They are made like a kitless. The section unscrews from the body and the body is hollow. The metal collet that holds the blade threads in and out of the section. The picture attached shows the parts.
