Louro Petro Cigar

Just found a 2x5x5 block of Louro Petro at my local Woodcraft store. Brazilian wood. Cheap! Here is a cigar pen made with it. Fairly hard wood and easy to turn and finish. At 60 cents a pen blank, it was worth a try! Looking at the photo (scanned), I really need to setup a photo tent. Kirk[8D]

That wood is really nice. I don't know if it is the photo or not but it looks like you have dull rings around each end of the barrels.

David, those are dull rings that you noticed. I didn't see them myself till after I submitted the photo! Will need to see what I can do to get rid of them. I was playing around with a CA finish that didn't work and obviously did get my next finish on right[] Good project for today. Kirk[8D]
