So a few months ago I posted that the doctors had finally agreed to repair my shoulder. And the fun and aggravation began. I was sent for an MRI of the shoulder. Went to the ortho for the results and game plan. 1st. Aggravation. You insurance requires at least 3 rounds of injections and more therapy before they will approve surgery. I get the injection, Also we found a 12mm spot on your lung. 2nd. You need to see a pulmonary specialist. So I see them. Looks like a tumor we need to send you for a CT of your lungs. OK fine. Go back for results. 3rd. The spot is nothing, But the CT picked up an aneurysm on your ascending aorta. Yes I know, it been there for 15 years, You need a CTA of your heart anyway. 4th, DR. calls with the results freaking out. Have to drive to downtown Atlanta to to meet with a thorasic surgeon ASAP. At his point I'm a wreck and the wife is convinced my heart is going to explode. Surgeon comes in and said and I quote "Why are you here" Your scans show that the aneurysm is the same size as it was when it was found in 2000. Just keep doing what your doing and check in next year. I personally think its a scam to suck you dry of co-pays.

Good news though, The shoulder is doing a lot better. Still not 100%. But I'm terrified to go back. Might be the rickets next

Kent, sorry the shoulder is so bad. hope that gets better without surgery. As for the other, it may have been a run around but your health is nothing to mess with. So glad you had it all checked out and things on that front are brighter. Insurance companies always order you to have physical therapy before they allow surgery in the faint hope that it will avoid surgery. However, if it doesn't work then they have wasted a lot of money and your time and pain. Hope the PT works for you and that we see you on Sept 9. Will have prayers for you.

You've had a lot extra thrown in the mix for sure. Glad you've got the sorta mostly all clear now. Too much work on top of all that. You need to get some time back in the garage ASAP! One turn a day keeps the rickets away.

Right on the money...

Kent,

Hi, I'm over in another part of same county. A friend from Buford was looked at yesterday for Carotid artery problem. Cardiologist looked at it and said, yep left is blocked 75%, I'll have someone take care of it.

You can bet my statement up front next anything, after you diagnose are you going to take care of it or are we going to play "let's see how many more doctors we can involve!"

Had that once with a Cardiologist (surgeon), and partner of my Cardiologist, said I needed secondary bypass. Took care of problem when my Cardio came back from being away with 3 stents! Just did a mile on the track, mowed lawn in 87 degree temp last night.

Heads up everyone, best of luck,

Charlie

If they look hard enough they can find a multitude of things wrong with anyone, it's how we handle it that matters. Good that your shoulder feels better too.
