Hi guys
I, along with my friends are snowboarders.. and i would love to make some pens which represent our interest ... but not so easy it seems to come up with a pen design which captures the spirit of a snowboarder..

Does anyone know of a blank of perhaps snowflakes etc .. or someone which would be able to etch a snowboarder silhouette onto aluminium or has experiance with doing this on an anodised layer etc?

Any thoughts and feedback would be greatly appreciated

I suspect a line drawing of a boarder would help.

PS. Going thru skiing NS's No Snow! The local ski area has only a few trails open and if it doesn't get cold soon, there will be fewer trails open.

I know Jeff has an awesome snow flake pen on his page done on the CNC in aluminum...when you see it you're like  you captured it!!!! Have a look it may spark some ideas.

Hi Brad, you could try this place; I've used them a few times for engraving woods and acrylics. They also have a laser etcher with a rotary attachment. I have been meaning to try them out with a stainless pen as they really are up for a challenge particularly when they are a bit quiet.
Alternately, get hold of Jeff Powell ( Workinforwood ) He also enjoys a challenged and might be willing to scroll/cast a few blanks for you.

Thanks for all the suggestions guys.

Jon, unfortunately no board kindling to butcher for it

Skip, thanks for the link.. that looks promising

Funny, I recently asked Toni if she had ever made a "Snowflake blank", she was going to look into it, but mentioned that she couldn't make canes right now.
