Looking for ideas

I have been asked to to a VW themed pen. I would love to bug you for ideas that might fit the bill...

I have pretty broad leeway, so any ideas might work.

Decal or sticker wrapped tube?

I was think something to mimic the iconic VW bus front end and then found this. You could have fun with colors and use aluminum for the chrome divider between colors and waterslide decals for the VW or router out a circle and bend some soldering wire and fill with resin. Just a thought.

Whenever I want a specific brand I always lean toward watch dial and cast or decals and cast. Maybe try to work a color associated with topic.
