looking for a couple of things......

I am looking for some "jewelry tags" for labeling my pens. I think the ones I am looking for are commonly referred to as barbell or butterfly labels. Anyone have any suggestions or recommendations on a place to buy some? I tried Office Max with no luck and have been looking online, but it is not going so well.

Second item......I am looking for some high quality African Blackwood. All black. Anyone have a recommendation? Or possibly a better choice wood for the color black.

Ernie at Beartooth Woods sells those labels.

My experience with African Blackwood is limited and none of the blanks I've had were all black. But, I've only had maybe 6 blanks. Try Dario or Big Rob or Chitswood or Isaac Rapelje. That's who I'd try.

If you want a dark rich all black blank, you will have to go with Ebony. A nice ebony pen will polish up and have a nice black color to it. Pick a quality piece, or you may end up with a little dark brown in the blank.
