OK the logo search has come down to these and I am looking for opinions as to what would be the best one to use. I am using this on my web site, my business cards eventually, and will possibly be getting put on some shirts and hats.

The wood grained one can be changed to any colored letters. I will be using the saw blade and the clock hands on that one as well. I have included the others with the black ground if that is a better choice but left the old style hands and saw blade. I went with the suggestion of Curtis as far as including my .com address which I never even thought of when doing this so that was a plus too. Thanks for the input and I will have to make some kind of commitment on this soon.

I also like the 1st one,just because it has the wood grain,and the clock hands look neater,but the 2nd one has the lettering pop out at you.

Nice logo work!

The first one! Particularly if you used a dark lettering scheme such as dark brown or black..almost like it was wood burned...My two cents...Regards, Doc

Woodgrain with another color. The dark green reminds me of a Woodcrafters type logo. NOTHING against Woodcrafters!! I am not bashing them. LOL
 
I like the woodgrain only with black lettering. I also like the black and neon blue, but doesn't really fit the theme of what your selling.

I tried playing around with the colors in the logo but being not good at all with this stuff, I accidently shrunk the original one and being the edit button timed out I can not edit it so had to put new woodgrain photo here. Reminds me of the movie "Honey I shrunk The Kids" I am still trying to change the green colors to black. Not very successful so far.

OK I finally got the logo done with black lettering. Again I would like more opinions. Seemed like most liked the woodgrain look. Thanks for the help and for looking. Sure has been a long process.

Before you make any decisions reduce it to about an inch high and see what it looks like. And then make it as big as you think you will ever need it. A good logo should be good at any size.
 
Personally, I do not like the woodgrain at all. I think it looks amateur. Sorry. Professional logos are usually fairly simply, mainly for reproduction reasons. The woodgrain version will be hard to reproduce on items like embroidered shirts and more expensive on business cards most likely. Also, like dogcatcher says, be sure to shrink it down to business card size and print it out to make sure it is EASILY readable. Remember, you logo IS your company.

If you posted some photos they did not come up. All I get is the red X. I understand what you are saying and would like to hear your opinion as to what would look best and what colors.
 
HMMM, I see the pics fine, even on your quote above. Anyway, here is a totally different take on this. Just throwing it out there for ideas!

I like the second one (black with yellow lettering) or the one Curtis just posted. Not a fan of the wood one, although of the two, I liked the black letter version more.
 
That is weird! I did it the same way I have attached hundreds of pics on IAP and it shows up just fine on my screen. Let's try it again as just an attachment this time instead of inline.

Curtis' removal of the black makes a world of difference on the logo, it looks so much cleaner and lighter but still has the border definition you want.
