LMS Heavy Duty Live Center getting hot????

I'd like to know if anyone who is using the LMS heavy duty live center is experiencing it getting really ~hot~? Mine is getting hotter than I think it should but it may be normal...

If you run it for long periods of time, it will get hot. Physics requires it. What do you mean by hot?? I can't say how hot is too hot, however. Why don't you send the question to LMS and see what they have to say??

Just hot enough to smell the grease in it and very uncomfortable to touch for very long. I'll ask LMS about it but I think I'm going to try the revolving jacobs in the tailsock from them also and use the drill rod for a mandrel with the Beall.

I wonder if we'll ever be to a point were we just stop tweaking with things...lol NAH..!!! Man...must have steel and things with bearings...

My "gut" feeling is that is too hot. Let us know what LMS has to say.
