I'm looking for a couple blanks of Lignum Vitae. The sources I can find only sell large quantities of dimension lumber. Any pointers to a source?

Have you tried Bill Baumbeck. this is the link to his sight. I think LV is a little on again off again though.

I ended up buying a big hunk off eBay. I cut some blanks and they're drying now. I had not previously seen the lumberlady site. Looks interesting!

I found the site when surfing on Google for pen blanks. Be sure and show us a picture of the pens turned from Lignum Vitae. I understand that it is real heavy and does not float. Let me know how it turns and polishes. From what I read about it, it is extremely hard to glue due to the oil in the wood. Have you given any thought what type of glue you are going to use?
Best of Luck.

I was planning to use poly. If I have trouble with that, I'll try epoxy. I don't use CA at all to glue tubes. I like to fuss with the placement on the mating ends of the blanks and CA just doesn't give me the time I like.
