Light or Dark?

I just noticed that most of the pens I have made lately have been made with darker colored blanks. Do you have a preference? I am going to pay more attention and make some lighter colored pens.

Mix it up. Cap light, body dark. Or vice -versa. Do some segmenting. Get away from tradition. Think outside the box. Do some angled cuts and glue 2 piece lengthwise. Don't ask what others do please. do what you want. Use burled on the cap and straight grained on the body. So so so so many possibilities.

I have had better luck selling the lighter colored woods to women. I don't know why but they always look and handle the lighter colored ones more than the dark woods and acrylics.

Tim's a 100% correct... Women buy lighter colored woods and acrylics.
