This is a Liberty Pen and Pencil set from Lazerlinez. I think the blanks came from Bear Tooth Woods.

I am sorry Jim, I meant did you paint the outside of the tubes and/or inside of the barrels to ensure that the brass tubes do not show through the checkered blank?

I should have been more clear with my question.

No I didn't have to drill out the transmission. It took some time to get it in the right place but I finally got it to work.

Nice set. I see Constant has incorporated a couple of features from the Smitty Liberty into his regular line. I think it improves the look of them.

Hmmm my favorite in those diners was pie and coffee cost about twenty cents.
