I picked up a few Liberty kits and some Cellulose Acetate blanks here recently, so I thought I would pair them up. I really like the Liberty twist kits' clean, simple design and high-quality construction. The OD of the Cellulose Acetate was almost the same as the finished blank, so it took some very careful drilling. I actually used 320 grit Abranet to get them to the finished size since there was so little material to remove. They are nothing too fancy, but they make attractive pens that will last a lifetime.

They look great! One of these days I swear I will find a way to get my hands on some cellulose blanks, though I really want to try making something from cellulose nitrate (which is basically unobtanium) for the historical significance and the warm feel of the material.
