I have been using a few left over pieces from building handles for rods in my pens. I thought that I would show where some of the pieces come from. The left over pieces from the top grip were used in the pen in the photo. The nice part of segmented turning is that it goes all the way through the blank, weather its for a 5" turning or a 1/4" the result should be the same.

Very excellent work. Fishing is a huge part of the attraction and economy where I live. But, I have talked with some of the custom rod builders locally and they say that fancy handles won't sell because of price. They sell to an upscale clientle and their response puzzles me. We both could profit from some nice handles but none are interested. Oh, well. Yours are beautiful. Hope you get good prices for those.

Great work on the rod grips, they are really nicely done. You should have no trouble selling the rods with those on them and for a good price.

Wow, some excellent work there. The detail on the rod handles is great.
I can see you have spent many hours doing some of those segments[:D]
