leather pen

hi guys i am trying to do a new pen that i made out of a leather strap my question is how do i go about doing this pen i have glued the leather on and soaked it in a med ca what do i do next do i skew the excess glue off and what kind of finsh do i put on it thanks for the help

First, punctuation saves lives. Second, skew only if necessary, I would just point sand it down. I understand how ironic this may sound, but you could just ca finish or wax it over.
