Lava from the Volocano

Hi everyone, I just wanted to share some pictures of the lava eruption here on the Big Island of Hawaii. The pictures were taken from my drive way. I am about 30 miles away from the eruption (as the crow flies) and I am in no danger. I do not live on the active east rift zone. This is the glow I see at night. Enjoy. Aloha.

I've been watching the news on TV. I stopped in Hawaii once many moons ago. It was only two days but it certainly is a tropical paradise... Except when the volcano(s) erupt.

After Mount St. Helens there was a small industry for making items from the ash. It was made into a type of ceramic. The Hawaii lava looks different, maybe it could be cut out and turned. Dunno. Personally, I would wait before trying.

On another note, before using the lava from the volcano, do some research about the curse of Pele on Big Island. Just Google "Pele curse". LOL
