Lathe

I had a talk with a missionary who teaches kids how to turn pens. He was talking about his need for a small lathe since he has only one. He also don't have a way to drill the blanks.

Ther was a post about drilling deer antler between centers with a drill chuck mounted in the lathe. There was also a video that made it look simple. I haven't tried it yet but I plan on it soon.

I have used that system to drill out odd shaped pieces of wood for blanks. It works pretty good.
