Got bored the other day and made a new stand for my lathe out of scrap lumber. Just planed down the lumber and put it together with glue and screws. Idea was in my brain not on paper. Just a put together thing

Really nice stand, very smart design..... but I would recommend putting a little weight at the bottom to stabilize it a little more... I built a wood stand for my Jet1014 and then built a little box at the bottom and filled it with rocks... my little lathe and stand now weighs close to 200 lbs.

Nice stand.

I agree with the others - add weight at the bottom. I would consider bringing the lathe forward, too. It is nice to have a front shelf, but you don't want to be stretching across the front while turning.
