I have a guy coming to look at my jet 1014 I am selling. The runners the tool banjo and the tailstock run on are nice and clean. I have some light stains and some CA glue drops on the white paint.

What is the best way to clean the stains off the paint without hurting the paint. I tried dish soap and that did not touch the stains.

Best way to get CA off without hurting the paint? I have acetone but didn't know what it might do.

Recommendations at cleaning the paint up?

I would suggest tapping the CA drips with a hammer. Acetone will remove enamel in an instant, mineral spirits will not. Maybe try a little mineral spirits and Scotch Brite pad, but I don't think much will clean up without hurting the paint. You can take a cover to the paint store and they can mix a quart of enamel to match.
 
Ice! Place an ice cube directly on the drops and tap the drop sideways gently with a metal bar/rod. The ice should lower the sticking power and CA does not have all that good grip sideways anyway.
