I remember someone posting a bench that was based off of the shopnotes lathe bench, but they had PVC tubes at an angle into the bench to hold their chisels.

I tried searching every term I could think of for a lathe bench to find it, but no luck! If anyone remembers seeing this or it is their bench could you post some pictures of it for me?

I'm getting plans together and I think I'm going to build a version of the shopnotes lathe bench for when I get my lathe. I really liked the idea of the lathe tools in the pvc tubes at an angle. I know Hank has shown his which looks like a butcher block knife set, but this picture was PVC in the same idea.

Thanks,

Justin

Justin,
Not sure which one you are thinking about, but I've seen a couple of ideas here or on another forum... pretty sure here. I use a free standing stand with upright pvc tubes that hold my toos, blade up so I can see the blades.

The picture isn't very clear since the stand is between my lathes in the turning station... I can try to capture a better picture if you want.

Does anyone have a copy of the sept 08 american woodworker issue they can scan? Apparently this has a lathe cabinet in it that is similar to what I described. I found the pictures of what I was talking about on another forum.
