Now that some of the heavier meds have subsided I think I can give a fairly clear update.

My surgery went well. I'm very sore but I am able to walk around better than before. Meds are pretty strong and I have to be VERY careful with everything I do.

It's still early on but I'll be keeping yall updated as time goes by. I do want to express my gratitude and appreciation for everyone's support from the beginning. It means so much not just to me but to my family as well!

Glad to see you posting Jonathan. Just take it slow and easy. Each day will be better. As you have seen, several of us have been there and done that. You are now on the road to recovery!

PS- I just tried to pour some blanks in honor of your recovery. They look like crap:bulgy-eyes: Hope recovery goes fast

Best wishes brother, and keep in mind...holding your daughter without pain is the goal so let your body heal and don't push things!!!

What everyone has said.. Good advice. Great to hear you are on the mend!
Thoughts and prayers still headed your way.

I agree with the guys that suggest patience. After I partially sawed through a finger, I was trying to do work within the week. That was just plain stupid on my part, but it sure seemed like a good idea at the time. Take care!

Hey Jonathon...I am glad that all is looking pretty good now, and that it appears you will have a complete recovery as a result. There will be a tendency to push to get back in the groove: too much too soon. So take it slow, do it right. Happy for you!
Steve

Jonathan, Just follow all the good advice you have been given...and as Tim said "holding your daughter without pain is the goal". Keep us posted...Regards, Doc:smile:

After my lower back surgery I got better each day and before you know it you will be back to normal. Like others have said, lifting heavy objects is your enemy. Don't do it!

Jonathan.Good to see you posting, and am glad your surgery went well, like everyone has said just don't over do it. I'm going in the 26th for a new hip, and I know I'm going to have trouble not trying to do much, But I'm certain you are far more intelligent than I am

Best wishes!

Jonathon,

Glad to hear your surgery went well. Enjoy the meds while you can and rest, rest and more rest. And yes, I am a doctor.

Larry
