There is a regional lumber distributer about 40 minutes from my house and I try to make it up there about once a month for lumber runs. Great place with great prices. Huge warehouse facility where they let you pick through the stacks to get what you want. They usually have a decent exotic selection and can order about anything. On my last run, I hit the jackpot. I absolutely love Goncalo Alves, Tiger Wood, and got about 9 board feet along with Zebrawood and some beautiful Santos Mahogany. I make music and jewelry boxes with most of it which is usually resawn down to 1/2". My wife uses the 1/4 to 1/8 inch stuff for her scrollsaw work and I will cut pen blanks from any leftovers. Anyway, had to post a pic of the lumber.
