I have been trying to come up with a new German Smoking Figure for awhile now. Finally got him finished although he could use a little tweaking. Normally I put these against a Black background so you can see the smoke, but this one just blends in with the background. But...the Force is strong with this one. He stands ~7 1/2", the body and legs are Maple and after a lot of carving on the arms and not being happy with, I went with shaping the arms out of tin foil and coating it with polymer clay. Need to work more on the process, but I see where it opens up a lot of possibilities. The lightsaber was painted with Red iridescent paint. Still need to come up with some type of base for it.

Although my preference is for the traditional Räuchermann, I have to admit that this one is really cool! You might want to put him on a base to prevent him from tipping over and breaking. Great job!

Thanks Brian, I too enjoy the traditional smokers and have made some. I made my first one after seeing a demo by Colwin Way at the SWAT Symposium in Waco, Texas and got hooked on them. I also enjoy pushing the limits on the possibilities. Sometimes my ideas get way out there. I do plan on mounting him on a base, which I am in the process of making and will post a picture when completed. If you do a search of my posting, you will see some of the other ones I have done.
